Skill required for weapon upgrade modules that affect turrets. Reduces the CPU need of turrets, launchers, and smartbombs by 5% per level.

Weapon Upgrades has several uses. First, it allows the use of the various damage modules-- Heat Sinks, Ballistic Control Systems, Magnetic Field Stabilizers, and Gyrostabilizers. Second, it allows you to fit more weapons on your ship. Third, it's a prerequisite for Advanced Weapon Upgrades, which allows you to fit yet more weapons on your ship. Many advanced fittings will assume that you have Weapon Upgrades V and Advanced Weapon Upgrades III or IV. After finishing Advanced Learning, Engineering V and Electronics V, this is probably the most important skill to get to level V.

Usage

Level I:

  • Ballistic Control System I, Gyrostabilizer I, Magnetic Field Stabilizer I, Heat Sink I, Tracking Enhancer I.

Level IV:

  • Ballistic Control System II, Gyrostabilizer II, Magnetic Field Stabilizer II, Heat Sink II, Tracking Enhancer II.
