Command Ships are the advanced version of Battlecruisers. They have awesome resistances, dizzying arrays of firepower, and bonuses to using gang support modules. However it should be noted that they don't really excel at anything and in most cases you'd be better of in a well-skilled battleship or a HAC. Most goons that skill into command ships buy one, realize that they're pretty useless for most purposes and just leave them to collect dust.

All skills required for Heavy Assault Cruisers are required for Field Command Ships. Keep this in mind if you're interested in piloting HACs.

All skills required for Logistics Ships are required for Fleet Command Ships. Keep this in mind if you're interested in piloting Logistics Ships.

Field Command Ships

These are to battlecruisers as HACs are to cruisers. Slow, but incredibly brutal.

Fleet Command Ships

Specialist gang assist ships. Fly these if you want to take the heat off of the electronic warfare ships in your fleet. Each race's Fleet Command Ship carries specific bonuses to a certain set of modules (There are four sets of Gang Assist module, and three individual modules in each set). These bonuses are pretty big, raising the effect of modules up to 20-30%. This means that a good Fleet Command pilot can effectively add thirty pilots to a hundred man fleet in terms of say, armor.

All of the Fleet Command ships have reduced offensive capabilities; the Eos used to be an exception, but it was nerfed to be more in line with the others.
